Updated: Oct 19, 2021

Astro Vibe of the Week:

Light some candles, run a bath, and pop a bottle of champagne, girlies. The retrogrades are drawing to a close this week! We’re about to see plans move forward and catch a bit of a break before we hit the next big event of the year: Venus Retrograde in Capricorn conjunct Pluto. More on that later.

Back to this week, Mercury and Jupiter station direct on Monday, October 18, blowing gusts of wind in our sails. We’re feeling more optimistic and less foggy-brained. Wednesday’s Aries full moon throws a stick of dynamite in the middle of the week. Happening at the Gemini-ruled 27th degree with an opposition to Mars and a square to Pluto, the words under this full moon are cutting and will profoundly change our interactions at the fundamental level. This can be good for standing your ground with regards to anything or anyone hindering your sovereignty and trying to halt your goals, but be careful about misusing the energy in uncalled for ways.

On Sunday, we bid Libra season farewell and welcome the dark, broody, intense vibes of Scorpio season. It’s time to reinvent ourselves and clear out excess baggage that doesn’t need to follow us into 2022. The moon in Gemini will be crossing the North Node that day. Make a mood board of who you’d like to be and where you’d like to go next and harness the power of this Pluto-ruled sign to make your reality work for you.

Aries Sun/Aries Rising: When the Sun squares Pluto on Sunday inviting tension between partnership and career, choose a conciliatory approach, especially as Mars trines Jupiter at a critical degree and asks you to be assertive with your needs while being optimistic about your prospects. It is critical to assert boundaries while seeking an acceptable compromise that would benefit all parties. Mercury retrograde sextile Venus is an opportunity to sweeten the deal. On Monday, Mercury and Jupiter station direct at Capricorn-ruled degrees. In the past few weeks, you have garnered enough wisdom and reflection to move forward assertively with new plans on the career front. The Aries full moon is a feisty one.

Taurus Sun/Taurus Rising: You’re having a hard time reconciling your routine with your travel plans, Taurus, which seems to have been the theme of this Libra season. It could be that your coworkers are trying you or that your schedule has you scattered. Sunday pits these two themes against one another and asks you to reconcile your ideal scenarios with the structure of your day-to-day life. Take a minute to sit down and write a task list for the week. It’ll pay off once Mercury and Jupiter station direct on Monday. Mars trines Jupiter on the 18th, making it critical to take assertive actions with regard to your career goals. This safeguards you against the potential chaos of an Aries full moon hitting your house of endings and bad habits. By Saturday, the Sun enters Scorpio, highlighting your relationship sector for the next 30 days. Meanwhile, the moon crosses your North Node, adding a heightened focus on your finances and personal values.

Gemini Sun/Gemini Rising: The sun has been shining a bright light on your creativity and romance sector, Gemini. This hasn’t been a walk in the park as you’ve had to rethink how you approach your project or how you communicate with your significant other. On Sunday, there’s a showdown between that area of life and shared resources. Squares tend to thrust us far out of our comfort zones, but in doing so they offer the opportunity for growth. Use that day to voice your concerns to your partner. The two of you can come up with a win-win situation that can start to take solid shape come Monday when Mercury and Jupiter finally end their retrogrades. Mars trines Jupiter, inviting you to put your money where your mouth is with regards to the previous day’s conversation. Play your cards right and you’ll weather the full moon fine, grounded in the steps you’ve taken and unbothered by the chaos of others. The sun enters Scorpio on Saturday, shifting the focus towards your routine and coworkers. The Gemini moon joins the North Node alongside your sun. You’re feeling extra empowered and confident!

Cancer Sun/Cancer Rising: The week starts off with you managing tensions between your family and your partner. The transiting Sun square Pluto dynamic is forming a T-square to your natal Sun, making that day extra potent for you. Deep breaths, Cancer. It is not your job to please everyone around you at your expense. Go around this energy by sitting everyone down and inviting cooperation to ensure all issues get streamlined efficiently. When Mercury and Jupiter start moving forward again on Monday, you’ll feel much relief on the home front and could see improvement in your financial situation. Wednesday’s Aries full moon puts a spotlight on your career and public image. Its harsh aspects to Mars and Pluto can be harnessed to make headway on your goals while remaining mindful of other people’s autonomy. Saturday, the Sun enters Scorpio, lighting a creative fire under your feet. Use that day’s Gemini moon-North Node conjunction to do inner work and keep to yourself. You’re about to be pretty busy.

You’ve been itching to speak out about something, but it seems that your day-to-day routine is interfering with your ability to hear yourself think. Doing so will have you hitting the ground running on Monday when Jupiter and Mercury end their retrogrades. Wednesday’s Aries full moon lights up your 9H of ideals while trining your sun. This would normally have you on cloud nine, but this moon is teamed by a couple of nasty Mars and Pluto squares. Careful about forcing your ideals on others for the sake of maintaining your vibe. Alternatively, if you’ve been thinking of going back to school, this could be a good full moon to decide on a program or start your application. Sunday marks the beginning of Scorpio season, and as the Gemini Moon trines the North Node, you’re leaning into your community and feel called to rearrange your house.

Virgo Sun/Virgo Rising: Libra season has had you stressed over money, Virgo. It seems that no matter how much you try to account for your expenses, this retrograde keeps throwing surprises at you. On Sunday, your desire to move forward with a creative endeavor is stunted by a potential cash flow issue. As a mutable sign, your strength lies in your ability to adapt to change —even if you hate it. Find a way to still move forward with your project by coming up with ingenious solutions. As Mercury and Jupiter end their retrogrades on Monday, you’ll finally feel fog is lifting off your work and personal resources. It’s about to be go-time for you, and you will feel much refreshed as a result. Wednesday’s Aries full moon is a culmination point for your finances. Something comes to a head with regards to shared resources. If you did your homework on Sunday, that full moon won’t have to hurt this much. Pisces Sun/Pisces Rising: This has been a transformative month for you, Pisces. You’ve spent the past few weeks reviewing your relationship to intimacy and shared resources.
